Philly Skateboard - Nocturnal Skateboards

I was tasked with designing a skateboard deck for Nocturnal Skateboards in Philadelphia & to make it “Philly-Themed”. I used elements that I personally enjoy about Philly while going for simplicity. I illustrated the Liberty Bell with its notorious crack, the Love Park sculpture, and soft pretzel, which isn’t drawn in the Philly-style shape, but I wanted to make a design that felt more universally recognized as a pretzel and filled the space better. To top it all off I used the vintage Phillies baseball team colors. This skateboard deck was created for Keith Warren Greiman’s Intro to Illustration course at Tyler School of Art & Architecture.
