HelloI’m Michael, and I’m an illustrator from the Southeastern Pennsylvania region. I grew up in and around Reading, Lancaster, and Philly. My work ranges from designing cute characters similar to something you might see in a Sanrio cartoon to nasty creatures out of a cosmic horror story. Whatever you find disgustingly adorable or keeps you awake at night feeling shock and terror, I’m more than willing to draw it.
I studied graphic and interactive design at Tyler School of Art & Architecture, and I’ve had some work exhibited in galleries in Lancaster, PA, and Chautauqua, NY. I have a lot of experience using traditional media, including inks, markers, acrylics, watercolor, and polymer clay, but I’m also proficient in many digital applications. I work mostly in Procreate, Nomad, Procreate Dreams, and Blender. I have a lot of experience using Adobe applications as well, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Fresco, and Stager. I get the most enjoyment out of designing and illustrating characters and monsters, but I have a lot of fun experimenting with animation and 3D design.
The inspiration for my creative passion comes from my love of 90’s video games from the action, horror, and martial arts genres, as well as action, comedy, horror, and sci-fi movies from the 1980s. Plucky characters who are having a conflict with some kind of supernatural abomination really resonate with me, although I have no idea why.
